JUVÉDERM® Vollure is the smooth gel filler that your doctor uses to instantly smooth away wrinkles around your mouth and nose.

Juvéderm Voluma XC is used to create a subtle lift, adding volume in the cheeks where it has been lost due to aging. This filler is proven to last up to 2 years in the cheek area on patients over 21 years of age.

Juvéderm Volbella adds subtle volume to lips as well as softens the appearance of vertical lip lines.

What is Juvéderm®?

Juvéderm® is a dermal filler created to help soften the look of lines and wrinkles and restore areas of the face that have lost youthful volume. It is made with hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that stimulates the production of connective tissue that plumps the skin.

During your Juvéderm® treatment, your product of choice will be carefully injected using a small, fine syringe. Juvéderm® products also contain a small amount of lidocaine, which will help to minimize any discomfort you may feel during the treatment. The entire treatment process usually takes between 15-30 minutes to complete.

Juvéderm® Filler Recovery

Juvéderm® fillers require minimal downtime, making them the perfect choice for those with busy schedules. Some patient may experience swelling and mild bruising. It is best to stop aspirin, NSAIDS and other blood thinner prior to the procedure to avoid bruising. Patients should only avoid strenuous activity, sun exposure, and consuming alcohol for 24 hours post-treatment. Results usually last between six months and two years, depending on the Juvéderm® filler used.

How many syringes of Juvederm will I need?

The number of syringes needed for your treatment will depend on your individual anatomy and your desired outcomes. Dr. DiFrancesco will create a unique treatment plan to help you achieve your aesthetic goals.

Are Juvederm filler treatments painful?

Most patients tolerate Juvéderm® fillers very well. However, a topical numbing cream can be applied to the treatment area to ensure your comfort.

How long does it take for Juvederm to settle?

It’s best to allow two weeks before judging your final results with Juvéderm. During this time, swelling will subside and the product will bind to water molecules, producing your intended results.

How long do the lumps last after Juvederm?

It’s possible to experience small lumps or bumps after Juvéderm treatment, but these typically subside within 1-2 weeks.

What should I avoid after Juvederm fillers?

Avoid working out or elevating your heart rate for the rest of the day – also avoid blood-thinning medications like ibuprofen since they can cause bruising. Additionally, avoid hot environments like saunas, hot tubs, or hot showers.

Can you feel filler in your face?

You may feel some fullness or stiffness in your treated area at first, partly because of the filler gel and partly because of swelling. However, as the filler melds with your skin and settles in, it will feel softer and more natural.

Does drinking water help fillers?

Hyaluronic acid fillers work by binding to water molecules in your body. By drinking plenty of water and keeping yourself hydrated, you can supply more water for your filler. This can help the filler hold its form and last longer.

How long do Juvederm fillers last?

Juvéderm filler results can last anywhere from 6 months to 18 months, depending on the individual formula chosen.

Is Juvederm better than Botox?

Both Juvéderm fillers and Botox are effective anti-aging injectable treatments. However, they work differently and often target different areas. Because of this, we wouldn’t say one is better than the other, they are just different.

Is getting Juvederm painful?

While any type of injection may be uncomfortable, we take the steps to ensure your injection experience is an enjoyable one. We can offer a topical numbing cream before injection to help dull any discomfort. Also, Juvéderm XC products contain a local anesthetic.

What are the side effects of Juvederm?

The most common side effects include bruising, redness, sensitivity, itching, swelling, or lumps in the injection site. These effects are mild and temporary, so you do not have to worry about them impacting the final results.

What to avoid after fillers?

After Juvéderm fillers, you should avoid strenuous activity, sun or heat exposure, alcohol consumption, and topical products such as tretinoin, retinol, or glycolic acid.
