Microneedling with Exosomes in Atlanta

At DiFrancesco Plastic Surgery, we’re proud to offer microneedling with exosomes, featuring Plated™ INTENSE, a next-generation exosome therapy designed to restore, renew, and repair your skin at the cellular level. This minimally invasive procedure stimulates collagen production, improves skin texture and tone, and helps achieve smoother, younger-looking skin with little downtime.

What Is Microneedling with Exosomes?

Microneedling with exosomes combines two cutting-edge skin technologies for enhanced skin healing and regeneration. During procedure, a microneedling device equipped with tiny needles creates controlled micro-injuries (tiny punctures) in the skin’s surface, stimulating the body’s natural healing response. Once these small channels are created, an advanced exosome serum is applied to the skin to stimulate new cell growth, elastin production, and tissue repair.

Candidates for Microneedling with Exosomes

This effective procedure is ideal for many patients seeking a non-surgical, anti-aging solution that enhances overall skin texture and tone. You may be a good candidate if you want to:

  • Reduce fine lines and wrinkles
  • Improve skin texture or acne scars
  • Reduce age spots or sun damage
  • Address uneven skin tone
  • Boost collagen and elastin production for firmer skin

Preparing for Your Procedure

To achieve optimal results, it’s important to prepare your skin beforehand. Avoid retinoids, exfoliants, and direct sun exposure for several days before your appointment. Dr. DiFrancesco may also recommend a customized procedure plan to enhance your skin health before and after the procedure.

During Your Procedure

Your procedure begins with a topical anesthetic to minimize discomfort. Once your skin is numb, Dr. DiFrancesco or a trained aesthetic provider will use a microneedling pen or specialized device to create tiny punctures across the procedure area. These microinjuries penetrate deeply into the skin, tightening tissue and enhancing the effects of collagen and elastin stimulation.

For optimal results, we tend to recommend a series of 3 to 4 sessions approximately 4-6 weeks apart.

Exosome Application

After microneedling, the Plated™ INTENSE exosome serum is gently applied to the skin. This product delivers over a trillion platelet-derived exosomes in each bottle, rich in growth factors, anti-inflammatory agents, and cell-regenerating proteins. These specialized cells promote tissue repair, enhance cellular regeneration, and accelerate healing.

Recovery After Your Procedure

Immediately after procedure, your skin may appear slightly pink or feel like a mild sunburn, which typically resolves within 24–48 hours. Exosomes enhance recovery, accelerating the healing process and reducing inflammation. Most patients return to their usual routines the next day and notice glowing skin as the new collagen and skin cells develop.

Maintaining Your Results with Plated

To prolong your desired results, Dr. DiFrancesco recommends using Plated™ INTENSE at home as part of your skin rejuvenation routine. Continued use supports new cell growth, collagen production, and skin healing, helping maintain younger-looking skin and a luminous glow between procedures.
