BRAZILIAN BUTT LIFT PROCEDURE

An Atlanta Brazilian butt lift can be performed with a local anesthetic and you can return home afterward. It’s performed in a few different steps, and Dr. DiFrancesco will go over each one during your consultation so you know what to expect.

LIPOSUCTION

The first step is a liposuction procedure on your donor area (commonly the abdomen, flanks, hips, or thighs). This process collects excess body fat with a small incision and a surgical cannula. Dr. DiFrancesco uses a gentle back-and-forth motion to help break up the fat for easier removal with a surgical vacuum. After enough fat is collected, the incisions are closed with special sutures.

PREPARATION

After the fatty tissue is collected, it’s purified and made ready for the injection process. Usually, this includes separating the fat cells from the liquid to ensure pure fat cells can be placed in specialized syringes to be injected.

INJECTION

This step includes careful planning and an artistic eye. Dr. DiFrancesco will use multiple syringes of injected fat to ensure your results are well-shaped, evenly distributed, and natural-looking. It’s common practice to inject more fat than is needed for your results during this step since not all of the fat cells survive the transfer process. After this step is complete, you’ll be made ready for your recovery and trip home.

BRAZILIAN BUTT LIFT RECOVERY

Although the Brazilian butt lift comes with a shorter recovery than implant augmentation, you’ll need to take certain important steps to make sure your recovery is successful. This includes avoiding sitting directly on your transferred fat until it can establish a new blood supply and settle into its new location. This means you may need to use a specialized pillow during this time. Additionally, you’ll need to wear a compression garment at your incision sites to aid blood flow and help the skin adhere to the new contours.
